EELC visits CBC studios
Children from Ranch Ehrlo’s Early Learning Centre (EELC) had an unforgettable experience this week as they toured the CBC Saskatchewan broadcast studios.
A group of eager learners from the Ruth Pawson location stepped into the world of television production, getting a first-hand look at how the news comes to life. The visit included a behind-the-scenes tour of the studio, where the children met members of the newscast team, explored the control rooms, and even learned how the green screen works.
A highlight of the tour was the opportunity to play the role of weathercaster for the day. Using the weather remote and digital maps, the children experimented with presenting the forecast.
To top it all off, the children made their on-air debut during the 6 o’clock news, bringing their learning experience full circle in a fun and memorable way.
The visit was part of EELC’s commitment to hands-on, experiential learning that connects young minds with the world around them.
