Dialing up discovery

Children make sense of the world by touching it, seeing it, and stepping right into the middle of it.

That’s why experiential learning is more than a philosophy at Ranch Ehrlo’s Early Learning Centres (EELC) – it’s a daily practice. Educators know that every new experience helps children build confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of their community.

At the EELC Gladys McDonald location, that philosophy recently came to life during a visit to Regina’s Rawlco Radio station. The morning tour was a special opportunity for Regina’s youngest citizens to meet the on-air personalities, get a glimpse behind the scenes, and even record their own voices – sending a special holiday message to the station’s loyal listeners.

These are the kinds of experiences that help children connect the dots between their daily learning and the wider world. By encouraging exploration and empowering them to be curious, children don’t just observe their world – they discover their place in it.
