Meet the team: Kristie

Meet Kristie.

Kristie is a master’s prepared Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in the human services field. She has a focus on trauma recovery, group counselling, domestic violence, and intergenerational trauma. Kristie is experienced in supporting individuals with grief, depression, post-traumatic stress, adverse childhood experiences, self-harm, anxiety, suicidality, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. She works from a client-centred, holistic approach that promotes the inherent strength and dignity of all people.

Kristie's counselling approaches include: Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

In addition to her counselling work, Kristie serves as a sessional lecturer at the University of Regina, Faculty of Social Work. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
