Ehrlo Counselling welcomes new clinician and practicum student

Ehrlo Counselling Services is pleased to welcome two new additions to the clinical team: clinician Ashley Lapointe and practicum student Nadira Deschner.

Ashley Lapointe is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with a Master of Counselling and more than 10 years of experience supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and other complex challenges.

Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practice, with a focus on helping clients build meaningful and sustainable change. Ashley is now accepting new clients.

Joining the team as a practicum student, Nadira Deschner is completing her Master of Counselling and will provide counselling services under clinical supervision. Nadira brings previous experience with Ranch Ehrlo Society, including six years as a foster parent in the Treatment Foster Care Program and 22 months with the Family Treatment Program.

Nadira's warm, compassionate, and holistic approach is grounded in evidence-based practice. During her practicum, she will work with children, adolescents, and adults under the supervision of Meagan Strinja, MSW. She has a particular interest in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy, and Sandtray work, and recently completed Neufeld Intensive I, an attachment-based developmental approach informed by neuroscience. Counselling sessions will be available two days per week at a reduced rate.

Both clinicians are committed to providing accessible, client-centred care that meets people where they are.
