Mission, Vision, Culture and Organizational Goals for ECS

The Mission of Ehrlo Community Services is:

• To promote healthy communities for children and families, free of abuse, neglect, addictions and violence.

The Vision of Ehrlo Community Services is:

• To build caring communities in which children and families can achieve full potential in environments that are safe and nurturing.

The Culture of Ehrlo Community Services is:

• To provide opportunities for at risk children and families through programs of affordable housing, recreation and counselling.
• To provide advocacy on behalf of at-risk people at the policy level with municipal, provincial and federal governments. 
• To provide consultation services to outside organizations and jurisdictions to facilitate the building of programs for children and families.
• To promote the well-being of children and families through volunteer participation with other like-minded organizations, associations, societies, and groups committed to the well-being of children and families.

Organizational Goals

• Working with the board, the employees, stakeholders and the community, Ehrlo Community Services is committed to activities that achieve a number of overall organizational goals.
• Children and Families: To expand programs for children, youth, young adults and families, based on excellence and the latest information in the field, to further promote healthy communities.
• Communities: To participate in strengthening communities through building resources, participating with like-minded organizations toward achieving common goals, and pressing for needed changes in programs or resources as required.
• Advocacy: To advocate on behalf of children, families and communities, individually or in concert with others, for the purpose of improving the well-being of those served.
• Programs: To review each program operated by Ehrlo Community Services to ensure that each continues to meet the needs of the community and that each program is financially sustainable over the long term.
• Fund-raising and development: To develop a fund-raising and development program that will contribute to the long-term financial well-being of Ehrlo.
