Residential program careers

Youth Care Worker

Youth Care Workers (YCW) provide day to day child/youth care functions, including basic parenting duties such as providing the residents with a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment, and transmitting appropriate values.  The YCW is involved in the implementation of the treatment plan and in meeting the resident’s emotional and physical needs.  As the Ranch Ehrlo Society is a 24 hour residential care facility, the YCW will work a variety of shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Personal Support Worker

Personal Support Workers (PSW) provide day to day youth/adult care functions, including basic parenting or daily living duties such as providing the residents with a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment, and transmitting appropriate values.  The PSW is involved in the implementation of the treatment plan and in meeting the resident’s emotional and physical needs and vocational plans as required.  As the Ranch Ehrlo Society is a 24 hour residential care facility, the PSW will work a variety of shifts including evenings, nights, sleepovers, weekends, and holidays.

House Parent

The House Mother (HM) is a member of the team “family” within our units and works with everyone to maintain a nurturing, structured, safe and comforting environment. The HM maintains the household standards for cleanliness, the quality of the food, supplies, and the effective use of the household budget.

Night Float Worker

The Night Float Worker [NFW] cooperates with and provides backup to Child Care Workers within the various units they move/float between.  They provide assistance to the unit; provide basic parenting duties, security services (including building and grounds safety checks) and maintenance of grounds, equipment and support systems to ensure a safe environment for residents.   

Educational program careers

Special Education Teacher

The Instructor delivers a specialized instructional program to students.  The Instructor instructs, monitors, and evaluates students in a specific area of expertise.  The Instructor contributes to creating a positive learning environment for students and a professional service environment for clients.

Education Assistant

Educational Assistants (EA) work with teachers to provide each of the students within their classroom with an individual education program. The EA provides supervision within the classroom and will assist the youth in meeting their educational goals.

Job Coach

Job Coaches provide work site support services to clients prior to and during a job placement so that the youth may successfully complete a job.  These Job Coaches assists clients who have the possibility of gaining independent employment as well as those clients that may not.  These support services include supervision, training, assessment, and facilitating healthy relationships between management and co-workers.

Early Childhood Educator

Early Childhood Educators work at one of our five Ehrlo Early Learning Centre locations in the city of Regina. Children in the program range from 6 weeks to 12 years old.

Clinical program careers

Caseworker

Case Workers (CW) provide clinical leadership and resources to their assigned unit.  The CW provides clinical assessment, counseling, and group work services to youth and families.  The CW provides clinical and therapy advice to residential and educational teams.  The CW provides a key communications link between stakeholders through written reports, consults, and daily communication.  The CW contributes significantly to a positive therapeutic environment.

Therapist

The Therapist provides clinical leadership and resources to families referred to Ranch Ehrlo Society [RES].  The Therapist provides clinical assessment, counseling, and group work services to youth and families.  The Therapist provides a key communications link between stakeholders through written reports, consults, and daily communication.  The Therapist contributes significantly to a positive therapeutic environment within RES.
